Jack White

Though Jack White Download never earned a No. 1 album as part of the White Stripes, he's on course to top next week's Billboard 200 -- as a solo act. Billboard

His solo debut set, "Blunderbuss," is aiming to bow at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart next week with around 100,000 to 120,000 sold (so say industry prognosticators).

The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, May 2.

A No. 1 album has eluded White thus far. His bands the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather have amassed a total of seven top 10 albums. The highest chart of any of those band's releases was the White Stripes' 2007 album "Icky Thump," which bowed and peaked at No. 2 (stuck behind Bon Jovi's debuting "Lost Highway" at No. 1).

Other albums on course for a top 10 debut next week include Lee Brice's "Hard 2 Love," The Wanted's self-titled U.S. debut and Kip Moore's "Up All Night."
