is said to have impressed producers during her stint as a guest judge on The X Factor.
According to The Sun, the I'm Outta Love hitmaker could replace Nicole Scherzinger as the favourite to take the permanent seat on the panel, after proving to be a hit with the judges and audience at the Glasgow auditions.
A source told the tabloid: "Everything is in place to sign Nicole but Anastacia was incredible.

"She had such great chemistry with the others. Nicole has been good in the past but she hasn't worked with anyone on this panel before except Louis, so who knows how she will do?"
They added: "Nothing is certain on The X Factor - things change down to the wire."MTV
During her time on the show, Anastacia confessed she thought Gary Barlow was hot, as well as sticking up for Tulisa after a hopeful teased the 23-year old about her recent sex tape scandal.
Earlier this week, she also received Gary's seal of approval after the Take That frontman tweeted: "Well done Anastacia for being a great guest judge yesterday."
The likes of Spice Girls stars Mel B and Geri Halliwell, Leona Lewis and Rita Ora have all acted as guest judges, with the permanent panelist expected to be announced soon.
