Lana Del Rey

Download has unveiled her new video for 'Summertime Sadness' – the fifth song from her album 'Born To Die' to receive a promotional film.

While it doesn't compare to the seven minute epic retelling of the JFK assassination starring A$AP Rocky of 'National Anthem', the video has all the discernible hallmarks of a Lana Del Rey promo – you can watch it below.NME

The promo, which stars Del Rey and actress Jaime King – the wife of the video's director Kyle Newman - cuts together happy scenes between the pair, who are depicted as warring lovers, and moments of turmoil.

Like previous videos, 'Summertime Sadness' is filmed using sepia tones and instagram-like footage. Lana Del Rey can be seen pouting and looking seductive throughout the video and hugging a St. Bernard dog.

In the final third of the promo, both Del Rey and King appear separately on a bridge before taking a suicidal leap into a cloud of smoke. But, the video ends with Del Rey walking slowly across the same bridge as the scene fades to black.
