Bastillie

Bastillie
Pompeii  floating around out there. There's a mash-up with Florence + the Machine, a stomping Maida Vale session and a few other acoustic arrangements. But you've never heard it sound as good as it does here.

Premièred on Huw Stephens' Radio 1 show, 'Pompeii' fulfils much of the promise given by Bastille's EP. Dan Smith's lowing tone rolls over glowing synthesisers in one of the brightest synth-pop songs you're likely to hear for a while. From the frenetic pop of the chords, you know this earworm is taking up determined residence in your mind.

It's fiery, brash and that choral 'eh-eh-oh' chanting has smash written all over it. (Look what it did for The Lumineers.)
