Lady Ga Ga

Lady Gaga .

According to the NYPost, the singer was interviewed on videotape for six-hours in a Manhattan law firm for the legal action in which her former assistant, Jennifer O'Neil, claims that she is owed payment for 7,168 hours of overtime.
O'Neil filed an action demanding $380,000 (£243,000) and claimed that she was responsible for "ensuring the promptness of a towel following a shower and serving as a personal alarm clock" for the singer, so she could keep to her hectic schedule. NME
She also alleged that Gaga expected her to be at her service from the "earliest waking hour" and wanted her duties to extend to "stadiums, private jets, fine hotel suites, yachts, ferries, trains and tour buses". O'Neil alleges that the schedule meant that she was unable to take breaks "or even at times sleep".
In her testimony, however, Gaga responded angrily: "[O'Neil is a ] fucking hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn't earn," she said. "She thinks she's just, like, the queen of the universe... And, you know what, she didn't want to be a slave to one, because in my work and what I do, I'm the queen of the universe every day."
Gaga then claimed that her assistant hadn't appreciated the perks of her job, stating: "She slept in Egyptian cotton sheets every night, in five-star hotels, on private planes, eating caviar, partying with [photographer] Terry Richardson all night, wearing my clothes, asking YSL [Yves Saint Laurent] to send her free shoes without my permission, using my YSL discount without my permission ... It is, like, such an amazing luxury that I get to travel the world and have planes, she doesn’t even see what a luxury it is."
She also complained about the services provided by O'Neil, adding: "She would only open a couple of bags, and it was very stressful for me ... because, you know, I weigh 115 pounds, and I was trying to move these huge, big luggages all by myself in the room ... by the way, she was asleep until 12:00 most of the time, so I was very often waking up and moving my own luggage and doing shit by myself."

Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams
Amazon on Be a Boy, the opening salvo of his latest album – one that many will label a comeback. Given that Williams has sold out a run of three shows at London's O2 Arena this month in less than an hour, it's safe to say that the glitter of Take That's record-breaking second reunion has stuck to the clown prince of British pop. If you cup your hand to your ear, the multi-tracked sigh of relief is audible all the way from LA. The formerly troubled star is now a happily married father of one, but his needy bluster continues to fascinate.G
The pixie dust doesn't quite settle uniformly on …the Crown. After a pair of quirky records on which Williams chased a nostalgic synth-pop sound, Take the Crown marks a return to mainstream anthemics, with all the wearingly obvious moves that entails. His new co-writers are Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis of Australian band the Undercolours; his brother-in-law met them in a bar, or so Williams told Music Week. Collectively, Team Williams (producer Jacknife Lee is on board, too) struggle to find a copper-bottomed, gut-feel voice for Robbie 2.0, settling for a variety of puzzling gambits that miss as often as they hit.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Red Hot Chili Peppers
have unveiled the latest track in the set of 18 new singles they are slowly releasing to fans via their website. Amazon

The sixth of nine instalments was put online earlier today (February 1). The eight-minute long track is titled 'In Love Dying' and you can hear it by clicking on the player above. The song is available to download now.NME

Red Hot Chili Peppers' plan to release new songs direct to fans was revealed in May 2012. Originally meant to last just six months, the releases have taken longer to reach their audience than planned. All of the tracks were written and recorded while touring their 10th studio album 'I'm With You'
.

Scuba

Scuba
Amazon was - at one point - amongst the most totemic figures in the dubstep universe.
As the scene has fragmented, though, Scuba has pushed ahead and begun to explore other directions. Third album 'Personality' arrived earlier this year, and found the Berlin based producer exploring a vintage house sound - albeit one which was flushed through with bass weight.
Immediately controversial, the album was a stunningly complete document. Arranging the one off 'Hardbody' release, Scuba is set to confound the purists even further by moving into a more complete house direction. Adding some harsh, brittle tones, at seven minutes it's an ambitious statement from the Hot Flush mainstay.
Out on December 10th, the video for the track arrived online this afternoon. Showcasing a variety of black cubes freefloating in space, the camera pans back to reveal that they are in fact spelling out the producer's name.

Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding
album Halcyon now has a visual. Goulding is currently embarking on her US tour to promote her new album, and the "Explosions" video features a glimpse into Ellie's life on the road. "Explosions" has been steadily creeping up the iTunes charts, and the beautiful John Fortis-produced ballad seems to be shaping into the singer's next single.
Having had the opportunity to meet and interview Ellie on her opening show in Miami, I've got to say the live version was absolutely amazing. .

Amason haven't shied away from discussing their plans for world domination. But while the band's first of several headline US shows takes place in New York tonight, we suspect they'll be waiting a fair while before their suggestion of recording a country song with Katy Perry comes to fruition.DS

To keep the rest of us occupied while they plot their Stateside jaunt, the group have put out 'Learn To Love Again' from their debut album Chapman Square. It's a rousing effort that blends their usual breezy guitar melodies with strobing synths and an anthemic, cooing chorus that places them somewhere between the youthfulness of The Wanted and the hooks of - dare we say - Bon Jovi. The result leaves us thinking that global success suddenly doesn't seem totally out of the question.

Nicole Scherzinger

Nicole Scherzinger
This is one Diva who can dance, can sing and has an eye for the "X-Factor". So how is it that she never seems to quite hit the mark with her own material! New single Boomerang is no different.Amazon

Produced by Will.I.Am, Boomerang is unfortunately a rather dull and flat experience. I would have loved to have heard Nicole's tones over his typical, more jagged production, but for some reason Mr I.Am decided to play Russian roulette with Nicole's comeback and dish out this undercooked record when Scherzy came knocking. I only hope she didn't pay full whack for the pleasure.

What Boomerang really needed- if we are to accept the production- was a characterful lead vocal. Katy Perry may not compare to Nicole as a singer, but her style of personality-infused delivery is exactly what this song is crying out for. As it is, Nicole's voice didn't keep this listener's interest for the duration of the track, or leave any memorable imprint once it had finished.
