His ultra-smooth style and mawkish lyrics seem to be lacking in any genuine sentiment and are reminiscent of Maroon 5 or OneRepublic at their worst. The relentless pleasantness of 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' will grind many into submission, but there's nothing here to suggest The Script have a long-term future in their current guise.The Tube
