Gotye Hangs On To Top Spot in Singles Chart

As Military Wives ascend to No 1 in albums chart...MTV

Gotye has maintained his position at the top of the Official UK Singles Chart despite stiff competition from Nicki Minaj and Alexandra Burke.
The Belgo-Australian singer's Somebody That I Used To Know is enjoying its fifth week at No 1, while Nicki Minaj's Starships rose one place to No 2 and Alexandra Burke's Elephant (ft. Erick Morillo) was a new entry at No 3.
Emeli Sandé's Next To Me was down two at No 4 while Flo Rida's Wild Ones (ft. Sia) slipped one place to No 5.
Over in the Official UK Albums Chart the Military Wives choir's In My Dreams went up one place to the top spot.
Emeli Sandé's Our Version Of Events was up one to No 2 and Adele's 21 was up one to No 3.
Michael Kiwanuka's Home Again was a new entry at No 4 while last week's No 1 - Bruce Springsteen's Wrecking Ball rounded out the top five.
