Plan B
Download Speaking to the Sunday Times magazine, he said that the Prime Minister has back-tracked on his 2006 statement that blaming young people for anti-social behavior was wrong – dubbed as his "hug a hoodie" speech.NME
"He was right", Plan B said. "That was a genuine, heartfelt statement and if you read it, it's correct. But he never said 'hug a hoodie'; the press came up with that and he got loads of flak for it."
He added: "Cameron's still a dickhead… because he can come out with a speech like that, but when the riots actually happened, he goes, 'Oh, we're going to severly punish them all.' And it's like, well, what happened to 'hug a hoodie' now?"
Speaking about his new album, 'Ill Manors', which is released today, he said: "It's a mirror, a reflection of today. And of the problems that have been swept under the carpet since the riots put them on the front pages. That's why I made it so visceral, to get under people's skin. I wanted people to misunderstand it, and to start debating it again".
