Enter Shikari have said that they believe their new album 'A Flash Flood Of Colour' is "anti-political".

Speaking to NME in a video which you can watch above, the band's frontman Rou Reynolds has said that the band did not set out to make their third studio album as a political record and that they regard politics as "obsolete".

Asked about the inspiration behind 'A Flash Flood Of Colour', Reynolds said: "In our band we don't really think about anything that consciously, but we never set out to write a political record. This record is if anything anti-political, it's saying that politics is obsolete. It's time we started embracing technology and splitting everything up. We need to go about our lives a lot scientifically."

The band's guitarist Rory Clewlow also said that they still believe people regard Enter Shikari as a "marmite band" and that they have been surprised by the positive reaction to 'A Flash Flood Of Colour'.

Speaking about the critical reaction to 'A Flash Flood Of Colour', he said: "We're very much a marmite band. You either love us or hate us. But most of the reviews so far have been amazing. It's been humbling".
