It's a familiar story for the 27-year-old rapper from Stonebridge, London, who was charged with murder back in 2011.
He may have had rough beginnings, but it seems he's made peace with his demons and is ready to move on with a start fresh. Lay Down Your Weapons sees him raise up a white flag for himself, and also his generation.
