Maroon 5
The song "Daylight" is this single. The Ulvedahl has some critique points about Maroon 5, after judging by their and Adam Levines latest single. Can they change the picture, that they have printed into the Ulvedahl mind? Maybe. This song has been praised by fans, because of the video, which consists of fanvideos and nothing else. Critiques has not been too happy about this, but let's see.
There's trouble in paradise yet again. Adam Levine has a relationship, and he has a huge problem. It is just not working out to great. He knew it from the start, he knew that the relation was "Born to die", as Lana Del Rey would say. He'll end the relationship, but before that he needs one last night with her. That's means that the relationship is over, when the "Daylight" comes around. The song has been compared to previous songs by the famous band Coldplay. The scream thingy at the end of the chorus reminds them of Coldplay. Last time Maroon 5 released a single, it was also about ending a relationship, but he actually does it in this song. He grew some nuts!
I like Coldplay, so I like the chorus in this song. It is almost like a Coldplay chorus, but that is a problem too. I like it, but I don't think Maroon 5 at all. The song is not playful enough for me, and it doesn't song new and original. "Daylight" has some awesome feautures though. One of them is Adam's voice! It doesn't sound boring for one time. The song is also catchy, maybe because it sounds like Coldplay. I got to give them credit for doing this song, because they moved in a less mainstream direction. This must be one of the peaks on "Overexposed", because it is actually more than just decent
