The Rolling Stones



 The Rolling Stones 
 lead this year'sBrit Award nods with nominations in four categories ('Best Live Band,' 'Best Book', 'Music Moment of The Year', 'Best Music Film') while two never before nominated acts, Tame Impala and Haim, have also bagged four nominations. Amazon

Speaking to NME, Mick Jagger said: "It's very nice to be nominated. When I first heard it was four things, I thought, 'Ooh, blimey! That's very nice!'".

MIA is also up for four awards ('Best Track', 'Best Music Video', 'Best Dancefloor Anthem', 'Best Twitter') despite only releasing one single since the last NME Awards.

Other bands nominated for awards include Arctic Monkeys, David Bowie, The Maccabees, Biffy Clyro, Kasabian, Blur, Foals, Jake Bugg and Alt J.

Harry Styles and David Cameron will fight it out for the undesirable 'Villain Of The Year' award alongside Psy, Skrillex, Fred Macpherson and Azealia Banks, while David Bowie, Bradley Wiggins, Pussy Riot, Barack Obama, Frank Ocean and Dave Grohl are all up for 'Hero Of The Year'.
