As we previously reported, the Poker Face star has had to axe the remaining dates after suffering from synovitis - inflammation of the joints.
A statement read: "Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady GaGa 'Born This Way Ball' performances have been cancelled.
"After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady GaGa has a labral tear of the right hip.MTV
"She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal."
A source has since told The Sun: "Gaga’s insurers will be going through her policy with a fine-toothed comb.
“They could argue her injury was her own fault for working too hard and scheduling too many dates – so she may be the one who ends up footing the bill.”
Lady G previously expressed her sadness over having to scrap a string of dates, telling fans on Twitter she is "devastated."
