The Canadian pop singer has been added to the list of music stars set to perform at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, which airs this Sunday (May 20) on ABC at 8 p.m. ET from the MGM Grand Arena.

Jepsen joins previously announced performers like Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, LMFAO, CeeLo Green, Kelly Clarkson, Usher, The Wanted, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado and Chris Brown.

After carving out an impressive career in Canada and releasing her debut album in 2008, Jepsen has invaded the States with "Call Me Maybe," an infectious pop single that has climbed to No. 4 on the Hot 100. The song attracted the attention of Justin Bieber, who called it "possibly the catchiest song I've ever heard" earlier this year, and Jepsen signed a deal with Schoolboy Records and SB Projects, headed by Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun. Now Carly Rae is ready to capitalize on her U.S. success and step into the spotlight at the Billboard Music Awards!

Adele, LMFAO, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne are the leading finalists at this year's ceremony. Adele takes the lead as a finalist in 18 award categories, while LMFAO is a finalist in 17 categories.

Hosting this year's event will be "Modern Family" co-stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell.

Tickets for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards are now on sale at Ticketmaster and MGMGrand The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will be co-executive produced by Richard D. Beckman, CEO of Prometheus Global Media and Don Mischer Productions.
