The Girls Aloud star wore the Stephane Rolland creation on the red carpet at the premiere of Amour, but had to be shielded by a flunky with a brolly after the heavens opened.
She tweeted shortly before her appearance: "About to walk the red carpet - it's raining!"
The 28-year-old made the headlines last year at Cannes when she turned up with an ultra-low cleavage, but this year has turned the glamour dial up to 11.MTV
She is making a relatively brief visit to Cannes, because she has to be in London for the premiere of What To Expect When You're Expecting on Tuesday evening.
Mirror Online quoted a source as saying: "She [Cheryl] will fly in on a private jet, then dash to the event later tonight.Trick Photos
"She has a selection of outfits, worth around £10,000 all together, and a range of diamonds to wear."
Chezza will also be singing as a guest star on The Voice next weekend.
Last week she publicly backed Chris Brown and said it was time to forgive him.
