Rihanna Download has said she thinks Cheryl Cole would be 'amazing' on American Idol, following rumours that TV bosses were keen to sign up the Geordie lass.
Earlier in the week, a New York Post report suggested TV execs from Fremantle and 19 Entertainment had asked Chezza to join the Idol judging panel, amidst rumours that current judge Jennifer Lopez would not be returning for another series.
The Call My Name singer has since denied the claims but Rihanna believes she would be a great addition to the show.

According to the Daily Star, RiRi said: "I can completely see why the producers at American Idol are trying to get Cheryl - she would be amazing."
And she also suggested TV mogul Simon Cowell was wrong to fire Cheryl from The X Factor USA, saying: "She was received so well on the US X Factor and most people couldn't really understand the decision to let her go."MTV
RiRi added: "Since [the X Factor] she has gone from strength to strength, and is fast becoming a movie star over here.
"I don't know if Jennifer plans to stay another season or not but Cheryl would be a great replacement for her. The only thing Cheryl needs to consider is that it's so time-consuming."

Cheryl is due to perform her new single Call My Name live on The Voice tonight.
