Twin Atlantic Download slowing the pace down, if only for a short while, in the verses.  Lead singer, Sam, shows off his cracking Scottish vocals in these verses, while the other lads, Barry, Ross and Craig, back him up in the commanding and powerful chorus.

                The last HiveMag.com spoke to Twin Atlantic they were touring with this album, and one of the things they said is that they’ve tried to be as honest as possible on this record.  Personally I think this song demonstrates that statement perfectly.  With lyrics like “…You know it’s the end of our sweet universe…”, and talk of the answer being in the bottle, this song displays the bands fears about our country, and even the world going to pot.  Well that’s what I reckon it sounds like anyway.   A pretty apt release, in touch with the current news topics if you ask me.

                Technically speaking, the way the textures build and drop throughout the song gives it so much more meaning and emphasizes the points the band want emphasizing flawlessly.    Twin Atlantic don’t just write a song, they pour their heart and soul into it.  They never second guess their lyrics or their motives for writing it, and I think that’s what makes these guys so special.  Being as honest as they are is what makes their fans believe in them and I reckon is what assures them that Twin Atlantic aren’t just in the business for the buck.

                Get a hold of the single and you’ll get exactly what I mean, better still grab the album and listen to a group of true Scots standing up for what they believe in and carving a backbone into modern day alternative music!!!
