Maximo Park Download tackle fan obsession and mania taken to new and often
hilarious extremes, with the help of Thomas Turgoose, the talented young
British actor who broke through in Shane Meadows' critically acclaimed
film This is England, which netted him the British Independent Film
Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
With Turgoose taking centre
stage in the video (and frontman Paul Smith having only a surprise cameo
towards the very end), 'Hips and Lips' flips traditional music promo
conventions to thrilling effect, lending a galvanizing extra dimension
to what is already a brilliant single.
