Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen
has denied plagiarism claims concerning her smash hit single, Call Me Maybe.Download
Ukrainian singer AZA has accused  Jepsen of using parts of her song Hunky Santa, with the Canadian songstress now facing a copyright infringement lawsuit.
AZA filed legal papers in a Los Angeles court, listing Carly and co-writers Tavish Crowe and Josh Ramsay as defendants.MTV
In a statement obtained by E! Online, AZA said: "I'm shocked and surprised that these people wanted to sample my lyrics on 'Call Me Maybe'.
"They didn't ask me for permission, they just stole it. That's why I filed this lawsuit."
However, a spokesperson for Carly has strongly denied the allegations, stating that the Good Time singer hasn't even heard AZA's Hunky Santa.
They said: "This is completely false and [Jepsen's] lawyers will deal with this. Everyone knows [she] is a songwriter. She is not spending a lot of time listening to Ukrainian radio."
