Rolling Stones
will play a date at Brooklyn's Barclays Center next month -- and it's the opening U.S. date of the group's "50 and Counting" celebration.
The show will take place on Saturday, December 8, with tickets going on sale Monday, November 19 at 10 a.m. It is the first confirmed date of the everything-but-confirmed dates beyond the four sold-out concerts at London's O2 Arena on November 25 and 29 and at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on December 13 and 15. The December 15 show will be telecast live via pay-per-view at 9pm ET and is entitled "One More Shot." It will be distributed by WWE.
In announcing the four shows, a statement from the group's reps said, "They will treat their generations of fans in a must-see, heart-pumping celebration of era-defining tracks such as 'Gimme Shelter,' 'Paint It Black,' 'Jumping Jack Flash,' 'Tumbling Dice,' 'It's Only Rock and Roll,' plus a few surprises and countless other classics from GRRR!," a compilation album set for a November release that will celebrate the band's fiftieth anniversary."
