The singer - who had a starring role in the London Olympics - took the awards for Best Album for her hit LP Our Version Of Events, the Best Female award and the Best R&B/Soul one too.Rapper Plan B took home the Best Male and Best Hip-Hop/Grime awards - and Rita Ora picked up the Best Newcomer award.
There were also gongs for JLS (Best Video), Labrinth (Best Song for Earthquake) and Nicki Minaj (Best International Act).MTV
The surviving members of TLC attended to collect their Outstanding Contribution To Music award, while pop legend Dionne Warwick was given a Lifetime Achievement award.
