Carly Rae Jepsen
follows the sun-stroked fun of the "Call Me Maybe" and "Good Times" music videos with the "This Kiss" clip, a night-set and decidedly more adult visual from her "Kiss" album. The flirty video, which features Jepsen rocking a warehouse party and taking a dive with a long-haired hunk, was released on Sunday (Oct. 28). Download
"This Kiss" trades the "Good Time" crew for a gaggle of partygoers, who flank Carly Rae as she breezes past the boys and enters the party she was born to rock. There is some dubious masquerading, an old-time photo setup, a dimly lit rock scene and a mysterious dude (played by Thomas McDonell) who catches the pop singer's eye. As the synth-pop jam winds down, Jepsen and her man leap into a pool for a steamy lip-lock that's charmingly cinematic.
Last week, Jepsen was named Billboard's "Rising Star" , following a year in which the Canadian singer-songwriter scored a massive pop hit with "Call Me Maybe" and joined Justin Bieber on Scooter Braun's Schoolboy Records. The award will be presented at the Billboard Women in Music event on Nov. 30.
Jepsen is currently on tour with Bieber supporting "Kiss," which was released last month.
