Swedish House Mafia's Don't You Worry Child (ft. John Martin) was a non-mover at No 2 - as was Diamonds by Rihanna at No 4.
The top five was rounded out by Korean rapper PSY's viral hit Gangnam Style.
Meanwhile, over in the Official UK Albums Chart there was a new entry at the top in the form of Taylor Swift's Red.MTV
Emeli Sande's Our Version Of Events was up seven places at No 2 and last week's No 1 - Jake Bugg's self-titled LP - was in third spot.
