Madonna

Madonna Downloadhas been threatened with legal action over her new single 'Girl Gone Wild'.

The track, which is the second single from Madge's upcoming album MDNA, can be heard by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking. It has been produced by Benny Benassi and written with Jenson Vaughan (Snoop Dogg, Kelly Rowland).

There is currently no official release date for the track, but an accompanying video was shot early this month. The promo was directed by fashion photographers Mert and Marcus, who have previously shot Victoria Beckham for Armani, as well as Bjork, Lindsay Lohan and Kylie Minogue.

Madonna has been threatened with legal action by 'Girls Gone Wild' creator Joe Francis. The entrepreneur, who created the highly successful line of DVDs in 1997, has threatened to sue Madonna due to alleged trademark infringement and says he sent a cease and desist letter to stop the song being performed at the Super Bowl.

Speaking to US gossip site TMZ, Francis stated about the potential claim: ''Clearly her label was trying to avoid legal action surrounding the song. But 'Girl Gone Wild' is still infringement as far as the law is concerned, and we have been in touch with Madonna's people in an effort to resolve the issue.''

However, Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary subsequently told TMZ that no one from their team had ever received a letter from Francis, and that Madonna was unaware of the situation.
