Cheryl Cole

CHERYL Cole will finally get her revenge on Simon Cowell by helping The Voice take on ITV rival Britain’s Got Talent in the ratings battle.

The Girls Aloud beauty is planning to showcase her new single on the BBC’s new talent contest – at the same time her old boss will be judging on the other channel.

Cheryl’s team are currently finalising her promotional campaign.

But with a spring release on the agenda, both Cheryl and manager Will.i.am are determined that she makes her debut performance on the show.

A source close to Cheryl, who was infamously axed by Cowell on the US X Factor, revealed: “Cheryl should be releasing her single when The Voice is on TV so it makes sense to combine the two.

“Cheryl’s manager Will.i.am is obviously a judge on the show so he’s already been talking to producers to get the ball rolling.

“The BBC are desperate to beat Cowell and BGT in the ratings and they know there’s no better way to do that than by get- ting Cheryl to perform her new single for the very first time live on the show.

“Cheryl would be a massive ratings winner and scoop for The Voice.

“Although it’s not a done deal yet, it’s only the pen and paper bit that needs to be completed.

“Not only will the performance be seen my millions of people, it will also be a good way for Cheryl to stick up a cheeky one finger salute at Simon.”

It’s not known if the Black Eyed Peas star is planning to perform alongside Cheryl but I’d confidently put a tenner on it!

Personally, I can’t wait for The Voice to start. Not sure Cowell and co at ITV feel the same way.Dailystar.co.uk
